Group site: To help reduce costs for lodging you can participate in an IGS2003 room-sharing group. IGS2003 provides this as a service. Participants will be responsible for forming groups and any agreements and transactions. IGS2003 does not assume any liability on behalf of the system.

This system will help you to know the details of all the other attendees who are also willing to share a room. You can then communicate with the other attendess to choose suitable occupants for sharing a room.

It will be ideal if one person from a group is able to make the reservation on behalf of the room occupants.

Instructions to use the group site:

o Set up an ID: You should have a valid yahoo email ID to sign in to the system. You can get a free yahoo account at mail.yahoo.com if you don't have one.

You will be sending and receiving all the email messages from this account. You can also view these messages immediately after you sign in to the system or by clicking messages after you have signed up to the group!

o Join group: Go to Group site , click join this group! and follow the instructions.

o Enter your contact information: The first time you enter the system, please enter any relevent personal information, travel dates, preferences etc. These are split in to three tables.

To fill out your information, please go to database on the left menu and click on the personal information > Add record. Enter all the relevant information and click 'Save record

Do the same for the other two tables by going to database > travel information and database > preferences

o These three tables will be visible to all the other users in the system.

o View who else wishes to share: To view information about the other attendees, go to database > any of the tables listed.

o To get detailed printed information about the other attendees willing to share a room, go each table > click 'printable report'.

o Contact other users and arrange: You can use the group email address to send a message to all the other users. You can send a message by using the group email 'IGS2003_accomodation@yahoogroups.com ' or from inside the system click Left menu > post.

To view messages sent by other users, Left menu > messages. Please use individual email addresses to contact a particular user.

o Please look out for the special messages in your inbox.

o NOTE: The IGS2003 organizers will manually check the group site to see if all the users are attendees of IGS2003 conference.

o Appoint one person who reserves the room, secured with a credit card.

o Arrange on sight how to share the costs.
